Description

The USPFO for Arizona intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with FCI Constructors Inc. for construction services required to modify up five to eight existing earth covered reinforced concrete igloo magazines at Camp Navajo, Bellemont Arizona. It is anticipated that an award of this requirement will be made on or about October 26, 2000. The proposed action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. A Justification for Other then Full and Open competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. It has been determined that award through competition would require substantial duplication of costs that the Government would not recover through competition and would create delays in fulfilling the USPFO's mission. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. This notice is not a request for competitive offers. All written responses received within 10 days of the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered. Responses must be submitted to the contracting office listed above, and to the attention to: Ginger Domingos. A determination not to compete this procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no affirmative written response is received, the contract will be awarded without further notice. Interested sources must submit detailed technical capabilities, pricing, and other information, which demonstrates their ability to meet the USPFO's needs. In addition, any response should include the firm's Dun and Bradstreet Number (DUNS) and Tax Identification Number (TIN). Firms should identify themselves as either small business, or other than small business in accordance with the size standard for SIC Code 1542 which is $27.5 million. No telephonic or faxed requests will be honored.
