Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item requirement in accordance with the format FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Quotes (RFQ) is being issued as 00SQ14PL100. Quotes are due October 11, 2000, Noon, MST. The RFQ incorporates revisions and clauses in effect through FAC 97-19. This is a small business set-aside. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 5211, and the size standard is $11.5 million. The Bureau of Reclamation, SRAO-East, Palisades Field Station, Palisades Power House, Swan Valley Highway 26, Palisades, Idaho, has a requirement for 200 cubic yards of concrete to be delivered in two separate days time frame (two pours), between October 20, 2000 and November 10, 2000, with a seven day prior notice. The concrete mixture will consist of the following: Cement -- Type 1 & 2 LA ASTM C150 Holnam, Master Builder Silica Fume with: super plasticizer (140 oz / cy) fiber mesh (1.5 lbs / cy) and hot water. Testing is required. The following FAR provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition:52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items (OCT 95), 52.212-3 Offerors' Representations and Certifications Commercial Items (FEB 2000) ALTERNATE (JAN 1999), 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items (MAY 97), 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items (AUG 96). Clause 52.212-5 paragraph b is tailored to incorporate the following clauses by reference: 52.219-8, 52.219-4, 52-222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52-222-37, 52.225-3, 52-225-18, 52-225-21 with Alternate 1. Offerors are to include a completed copy of the provisions at 52.212-3iii -- Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items (FEB 2000) ALTERNATE (JAN 1999) , with the RFQ. Offerors may request a copy of the clause be faxed to them. The closing time and date for receipt of proposals is noon, 10/11/2000 local time. Estimated issue date of award is 10/13/2000.
