- Description
- The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Coastal Systems Station, Panama City, Florida (COASTSYSTA), is requesting proposals for full and open competition to perform research, development, test and evaluation (RDT&E) engineering support services to provide simulation, stimulation, emulation, visualization, and performance modeling capabilities in support of programs falling within COASTSYSTAs mission areas (See http://www.ncsc.navy.mil/Capabilities_and_Facilities/Capabilities.htm for additional information on these mission areas). The contract will be an Indefinite Quantity Contract for a period of five years. One of the primary areas of activity is the development and evaluation of weapons and countermeasures. To support this weapons and countermeasures activity, specific simulators, stimulators, emulators, performance models as well as environmental, target, virtual prototype models and visualization are required by the COASTSYSTA. In the fields of physics, the models reflected are environmental and signal/field acoustics, electro optics, pressure, magnetics, and hydrodynamics. The main systems at COASTSYSTA that will be supported by this contract include the Simulation Laboratory Cost Center (SLCC), which is a full spectrum, all encompassing simulation resource provider. The SLCC integrates the hybrid Hardware In The Loop Simulation Complex (HSC), the digital MARS based expeditionary warfare simulation, the Naval Mine Warfare Simulation (NMWS), and the Simulation Computer Facility (SCF). It also encompasses the Technology Requirements Model (TRM), Autonomous Littoral Warfare Systems Evaluator (ALWSE), Naval Simulation System (NSS), and the General Campaign Analysis Model (GCAM). This effort will also include support of new modeling simulation, stimulation, emulation, and performance modeling capabilities or facilities that may be implemented by the COASTSYSTA during the contract period of performance. Contract Specialist: John Miller, Code SP10, Coastal Systems Station, 6703 West Highway 98, Panama City, Fl 32407-7001 (850) 235 5399, FAX (850) 234-4251, e-mail MillerJH@ncsc.navy.mil. Request for this Solicitation must be in writing with complete address/contact information. Telephone requests will not be accepted.
