Description

The United States Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Arizona, currently holds a contract with Kvaerner Process Services, Inc., 7909 Parkwood Circle Drive, Houston, Texas for Tropic Test Support Services in the Republic of Panama. USAYPG intends to issue an extension to this contract for a period not to exceed six months pursuant to FAR clause 52.217-8 which is included in the existing contract. The initial contract and this extension incorporate FAR Part 12 for clauses and provisions for Commercial Items. Due to political instability and uncertainties of facilities and equipment availability we are unable to develop a performance work statement that will allow competition at this time. During this period we anticipate the development of a performance work statement that will allow full and open competition. Reference Synopsis Submission No. 430585, dated March 2, 2000.
