Description

AWARD SUBJECT TO THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS. The Grounds Maintenance contractor shall provide all materials, labor and equipment required to complete all landscape maintenance work for VA Greater Nebraska Health Care System, Grand Island VA Division, 2201 No. Broadwell Ave., Grand Island, NE. 68803. This procurement is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside for Standard Industrial Codes 0781, 0782, and 0783, $5.0 million. Bids will be for base year and four option years. (See FAR 52.217-8 and 52.217-9) The estimated value of the solicitation for all years is between $100,000 to $250,000. There are approximately 21 acres of grounds needing year round maintenance. This solicitation will require a full grounds maintenance including but not limited to the following: 1) Perform soil test (Fall), Perform general cleanup and waste removal, mowing, edging of sidewalks and curbing, fertilizing, lawn weed control (pre-emergent and post-emergent), lawn insect and disease control/monitoring. 2) Tree, shrubs and ground cover trimming/pruning (when appropriate to retain natural shape), fertilizing, mulching, weeding, insect and disease control/monitoring, spring cleanup, trash/leaf removal, and winter cleanup. NOTE: ATTENDANCE AT THE PRE-BID WALK THROUGH IS A MANDATORY REQUIREMENT FOR ACCEPTENCE OF BID. Walk through will be held on October 25, 2000 at 1:30 P.M., local time. A copy of all necessary certificates and licenses required for fertilizing, pest control and tree trimming/pruning, etc. will be required to be given to the Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR) before award of contract. NOTE: Contractor must provide proof of VETS-100 Compliance Report. A copy of all necessary insurance will also be provided to the COTR before award. The award will be based on the lowest price quotation from a responsible bidder in accordance with FAR 52.9-104-1. Bids are required no later than November 3, 2000 at 2:30 P.M., local time.
