Description

Sources Sought. Bechtel Nevada is seeking sources of a PhD-Level scientist with a minimum of five years previous synchrotron research experience in studies of surface physics and photoemission processes. Broad experience in x-ray physics experiments involving filters, mirrors, monochrometers, etc. Extensive Experience operating an NSLS beamline and performing experiments at NSLS. Experience in ultra-high vacuum instrumentation and vacuum leak-checking. Experience operating, testing, trouble-shooting x-ray detection instrumentation and in interfacing such instrumentation with CAMAC-based data acquisition equipment. Experience with the XIXON data acquisition and control program. Experience designing, developing, debugging computer programs operating in DOS, Windows and Labview environments. Familiarity with mechanical and optical alignment and design techniques.
