- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Western Regional Office has a requirement to provide Professional counseling to the Native American population at the Federal Correctional Institution, 37900 N. 45th Ave., Dept 1680., Phoenix, AZ 85027-7000. The objective of the counseling is for the services of a Native American Addictions Counselor. The Counselor shall provide a Drug Abuse Program Group Counseling utilizing Native American culture and spirituality. The services shall consist of specialized Drug Abuse counseling utilizing Red Road to Recover Program, Talking Circle, Sweat lodge. The Counselor shall provide the services to the Bureau of Prisons for approximately four (4) hours per week for twelve (12) weeks and four (4) hours per month for the remaining nine (9) months. It is estimated that the services will be required for an estimated eighty-four (84) hours per year. The work schedule shall be determined by the Bureau of Prisons and the departmental needs of the Psychology Department. Education. The Counselor shall provided documentation to support that his/she is a Native American Healer or Certified Addictions Counselor or equivalent college degree with experience. The Instructor shall not be required to provide services on Federal holidays. The anticipated date of award is December 01, 2000. The anticipated period of performance is, Base Year: Date of Award through 12 months from award date; Option period #1: 13 months from date of award through 24 months from date of award; Option year #2: 25 months from date of award through 36 months from award date; Option period #3: 37 months from date of award through 48 months from award date; Option Period #4: 49 months from date of award through 60 months from award date.
