Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement consistutes the only solicitation and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Government intends to award this requirement on a sole source basis to Adams Mark Hotel. This notice is not a request for quotes. However, all information received within fifteen (15) days after date of publication of this request will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. The solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote and incorporates the provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-19. This is an unrestricted procurement. The SIC code is 7011 at a dollar amount of $5.0M. Requirement is for 492 single rooms each night for 8 and 9 December 2000 and 571 meal packages per day for both dates. December availability, battalions to be housed under one roof, conference room space for two battalions to conduct their training separate of each other; meeting space big enough to hold 800 people in one general session, must have break out rooms to accommodat 400 people and small break out rooms to hold 30/40 people each and free parking for 500 or more vehicles. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors -- Commercial Items, applies to this action with the addenda that options and multiple offers are not applicable. The provision at FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items, also applies. Offers will be evaluated for the following factors: price and technical performance. Technical performance is equally important as price. A completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, must be sumbitted with the offer. FAR Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. There is no addenda to the clause. FAR Clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items. All contractors must be registered in the CCR (Central Contractor Register) per 252.204-7004. Offers MUST be submitted not later than 4:00 p.m., local time, 12 October 2000.
