Description

DESC:. Provide all labor, material, equipment, transportation and supervision required to Rehabilitate Lighthouse at Grand Haven South Pierhead Light for USCG Aids to Navigation Team, Grand Haven, Michigan to perform the following: 1.1 Structural Reinforcement _ Fabricate and install steel reinforcing framing to support the lantern area deck. Miscellaneous welding, connections and retrofitting of existing building framing to accommodate the new support shall be included. 1.2 Sloped Roofing _ Remove the existing EPDM roofing membrane and the underlying particleboard sheathing and replace with new plywood substrate and standing metal seam roofing. Provision and installation of roofing felts and flashing necessary for a complete installation shall be included. 1.3 Lantern Area Decking _ Replace the existing membrane roof with new Thermoplastic Alloy Roofing. Work shall include stripping of roofing materials and mastics to the underlying substrate. Provide tapered insulation, flashing and sealant as necessary to provide for watertight roofing installation. Work shall include installation of membrane roofing material over the exposed gable end inset adjacent the lantern area deck.. l.4 Painting _ Wire brush and power tool clean all exterior steel and iron surfaces and paint the lighthouse with a marine grade polyurethane coating system.. Cleaning and sealing around all openings shall be included. 1.5 Building Framing (Unit Bid Item) _ Replace 2 x 8 building framing in the lighthouse walls and floor as directed by the Contracting Officer's representative. Provide a unit bid item for replacing 2 x 8 building framing on a per lineal foot basis. Provide the SIC code assigned to this project is 1761, the size standard is $11.5 million. The due date for quotes has not been scheduled. The estimated range of the project is between $25,000 and $100,000. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS.
