Description

The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) intends to award a sole source contract to Main Street Supply and Logistics Inc. for the purchase of Toyota Hilux 6-Seater Pickup Trucks with Diesel Engine, 4X4, Left Hand Drive, 5-Speed Transmission, Air Conditioning (non-CFC), White, with Spares and manuals and Toyota land Cruiser Ambulances with Diesel Engine, 4X4, Left Hand Drive, 5-Speed Transmission, Air Conditioning (non-CFC), Attendant Seat, White, with spares and manuals. The sole source is permitted under an International Agreement with United Nations Organization for Humanitarian Assistance to Afghanistan where the infrastructure is not capable of maintaining a new line of vehicles without development of an expensive and difficult centralized repair and delivery system for a new line of vehicles and training a new staff to support a new line of vehicles. Current funding will procure 52 Hilux Pickup Trucks and 31 Land Cruiser Ambulances.
