Description
Anniston Army Depot is seeking companies who have the capability to provide 3 conveyor type multistage parts washer systems to effectively clean engine blocks and associated parts for the Reciprocating Engine facility. The washer systems shall be of modular design and multiple staged to include the following capabilities: pre-soak application staging area, wash stage, rinse stage, corrosion preventative stage, and heated drying stage. The washer systems shall have the following: a) a closed loop filtered aqueous system with freshwater makeup at all appropriate stages; b) automated & programmable chemical concentration maintenance systems at all appropriate stages; c) corrosion resistant construction for all spray chambers and associated wetted equipment; d) programmable controls to incorporate different wash cycles & times to maximize through put; e) use steam for its heat source; f) include a sludge scraper and grease/oil skimmer conveyor for removal of solids greases and oils; g) an exhaust air ventilation system that complies with EPA/ADEM clean air standards; h) multiple spray modules with 360-degree coverage on each module on each applicable stage; j) parts cleaning capacity of 40" tall by 40" wide by 72" long per stage; and k) wastewater evaporative system to minimize wastewater treatment.. The washer systems conveyor shall be of a minimum stainless steel flat wire construction with a minimum load rating of 1000 lbs. per linear foot; shall include all material handling equipment to facilitate placing into washer from building conveyor and removing from washer onto building conveyor with a minimum rating of one ton capacity,. The washer systems cleaning effectiveness shall consist of 90% removal of all contaminants to include oil, grease, soil, solid adhesives, sludge, carbon deposits, etc. within all accessible engine part cavities.
