Description

The National Institute of Child Health and Human Development is soliciting proposals for clinical centers to conduct a multicenter longitudinal investigation of normative bone density, skeletal, and pubertal maturation in children. Normal growth and bone density measurements will be obtained annually for three consecutive years. The children will undergo a yearly radiographic evaluation including DEXA and bone age x-ray and also an evaluation by a pediatric endocrinologist or nure practitioner to determine pubertal status, height, weight, and BMI. Those offerors that believe they have the necessary qualifications to perform the study as described above, should review the RFP NICHD-2000-12, which can be found at the NICHD Home Page: http://www.nichd.nih.gov/oam_cmb. The NICHD does not intend to release hard copies of the RFP. The closing date for receipt of proposals will be December 11, 2000.
