Description

This is a notice of intent to award a sole source action to SunGard Planning Solutions to update existing Disaster Recovery Plan and to Develop a Business Recovery plan for a Department of Treasury entity. The reason for the sole source is that Sungard Planning Solutions is the only known source with the expertise to provide these services. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intendts to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302 and Far 13. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. When identifying interest and capability sufficient information shall be provided so that a review can be done without furhter discussions or contact by the U. S. Customs Service representative. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposal received by the closing date will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
