Description

This announcement revises the CBD posted on 15 August 2000 that stated the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue the referenced solicitation for the procurement of services to Manage, Maintain, and Operate Emergency Ship Salvage Material (ESSM) Facilities. The solicitation also includes requirements for Worldwide Support Operations in the areas of Pollution Control, Spill Response, Contingency Planning, Response Training, Underwater Ship Husbandry, Diving, and Ship Salvage. It is anticipated that the solicitation will result in an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) Task Order contract and will include a base year and four out-year options. In addition the contractor will have the ability to be awarded up to five additional award-term years. Award term is a concept whereby the Government may adjust upward or downward the length of the contract based upon the contractor's performance. If the award term qualifying criteria is met during an established evaluation period, the contractor will have the ability to be awarded an additional year for each of the years including the base year and four option years for a possible total of ten years.
