- Description
- This project will consist of grading, drainage, base and asphalt surfacing for U.S. Highway 177, Project # PLH 177(1) in Chickasaw National Recreation Area, Murray County, Oklahoma. The principle work items are: lump sum contractor testing; 18,600 m2 removal of asphalt pavement; 6,800 m3 roadway excavation; 7,100 metric tons aggregate base; 2,330 metric tons superpave asphalt concrete pavement, type 2; 7,170 metric tons hot asphalt treated base course, grade C; 394 metric tons asphalt cement grade; 1.854 km slope, reference and clearing and grubbing stakes; 3.708 km grade finishing stakes; 2,000m silt fence; 525 m (combined) removal of Portland cement concrete; 320 m2 uniaxial geogrid; 130 metric tons asphalt cement grade, PG 64-28; 250 m reinforced pipe culvert (various); 10 each inlet drop; 100 m standard underdrain system; 585 m Portland cement concrete curb and gutter; 225 m guardrail system, G-4, type 4, Class A; 6 each terminal section type extruder; 300 m2 erosion control mat, type 5; 2,250 m3 placement of conserved topsoil along with seeding, signing, striping and associated traffic control. Electronic format for the bid submittal documents will not be allowed. Amendments to this solicitation will be issued in paper format to all plan holders and will be posted on the website listed in line 18 of this submittal. The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontractor at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
