Description

Construction of Lockwall Rehabilitation, Lock and Dam No. 24, Mississippi River, Clarksville, Missouri. The work shall include the lockwall concrete rehabilitation and other related items. Rehabilitation work will include mass and surface concrete removal of deteriorated concrete by various methods including blasting. Work includes resurfacing of the lockwalls using combination of cast-in-place concrete and precise concrete panels. Also included are repair, modification, and installation of various lockwall features, such as culvert tainter valves and machinery, lock control kiosks, floating mooring bits, lockmaster office building, visitor overlook structure, miter gate bubbler system, mechanical and electrical crossovers, electrical ductbanks and cabling, piezometers, ladders, grating, handrails, etc. Also included will be heavy lift situations for miter gate replacement and bulkhead installation. Portions of the work will be required to be performed during wintertime prescheduled lock closures in a dewatered lock and will require coordination with lock operations. Significant underwater excavation and disposal of silt adjacent to the lock will also be required. Note: The Department of the Army, St. Louis District, Corps of Engineers is conducting a MARKET SURVEY to obtain any interest from potential contractors in submitting a technical and cost proposal on subject work. A draft RFP will be sent to any contractor interested.
