Description

The National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA), In cooperation with the Departments of Defense and Energy and the Environmental Protection Agency will conduct the 27th Environmental Symposium and Exhibition on April 23-26, 2001 in the Austin Convention Center, Austin, TX. NDIA is issuing a Call For Papers from government, industry, academia and the international community for topics listed in the call for papers and for related environmental technologies. The symposium will provide a national forum for the exchange of technical information, government policy, regulations, programs and law; and new ideas on environmental issues and aras of concern. "A New Era for Federal Enfironmental Leadership, Management and Technology" is the theme selected for the 27th Environmental Symposium and Exhibiton. The focus of the Symposium is to present issues related to federal agency environmental leadership through the integration of environmental accountability in the management of impacting activities and the application of technology to ensure appropriate compliance as outlined in Executive Order 13148, dated April 21, 2000. These issues will be presented for review and discussion through government/industry interactions and inputs to the decision makers regarding policy development and practical implementations. Individuals desiring to present a paper are requested to submit a 20-300 word unclassified abstract no later than October 12, 2000. Abstracts must clearly delineate: objectives and scope or work, applicable problems, current results, continuing developments and conclusions. The paper should be suitable for a twenty (20) minute presentation with an additional five (5) minutes for questions. NDIA, also invites organizations to display its products and services at the 27th Environmental Exhibition. The Austin event is an excellent opportunity to raise awareness of your organization with over 1,500 attendees form government and industry involved in environmental research, development,restoration, compliance, conservation, pollution prevention, acquisition and regulatory implementation.
