Description

The Virginia Contracting Activity (VACA) intends to award a sole source contract to Social Science Automation, Inc. to conduct research into the feasibility of conducting new content analysis capabilities. The planned contract entails follow-on research using a unique methodology developed by Social Science Automation, Inc. This acquisition is to be accomplished under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 c (1), Only One Responsible Source Available. Social Science Automation, Inc. has demonstrated unique qualifying experience, knowledge,and capabilities and award to another contractor would result in unacceptable delays given the extensive period of time that another contractor would need to acquire the necessary experience, etc. It is anticipated that a Fixed Price-Time and Materials contract will be awareded . The expected period of performance is 12 months following contract award. This notice of intent is not a request for competition. Written responses to this synopsis should contain sufficiet documentation to establish a bonifide capability to fulfull the requirement.
