Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution, Petersburg, VA, has a requirement for Unarmed Guard Services. The contractor shall provide unarmed guards for Federal prisoners requiring confinement in a hospital for medical treatment, and/or portal to portal medical trip services on Federal prisoners requiring medical trips to local hospitals or doctor offices. The contractor shall provide the services on an as needed basis, to be available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Due to the nature of the work, security clearances are required. More detailed information is contained in the solicitation document. This is set aside for small businesses. The NAICS code is 561612. The Base Year of the contract is anticipated to run from contract award through twelve months, with (4) one year option periods for renewal (5 year total). The contractor shall provide the following for each year of the contract: 2,496 hours. It is anticipated that this requirement will result in a Firm-Fixed Price, Requirements type contract.
