CORROSION RESISTANT COATING, CHEMICALLY TREATED ALUMINUM: DESCRIPTION Bidders offering other than brand name items identified herein must furnish with their bids adequate descriptive literature so that a determination can be made as to equality of the products offered. In order for the government to make an "or equal" determination of the offered product(s), the furnished information must delineate each applicable characteristic, unit of measure, and test method of the offered product(s) directly correlated to each of the requirements delineated in the item purchase description. Failure to furnish this information/literature will result in the bid being rejected as non-responsive or may be considered as unacceptable for award in a negotiated procurement (see GSAR Clause 552.221-70). A one-part, corrosion resisting, chromated, chemical treatment for aluminum packaged in applicator pens. Size: The product shall be packaged in applicator pens in accordance with the supplier's normal commercial practice provided that there will be no interaction chemically or physically with the contents so as to damage the containers or alter the strength, quality, or purity of the contents. The pens shall be closed in a manner that will insure that the contents will not spill or leak from the containers during hsipment, handling, storage, and redistribution. Twelve pens shall be packaged in a box as a unit of issue.
