Description

To correct the previous statement, which should read like below: DESC: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Bronx VA Medical Center is looking for one or more accredited facilities, (JCAHO if it's a hospital) with an ACR (American College of Radiology) -approved mammography program in our catchment area (within reasonable commuting area; upper Manhattan, lower Westchester and the Bronx where our Hospital is located (130 W. Kingsbridge Road, Bronx, N.Y.)). The site must be in compliance with the most current edition of Federal & Local requirements regarding mammography. We intend to refer our patients to the facility for mammograms (both routine screening mammograms and those done after detection of a nodule or other abnormality). The site would need to perform the mammogram, interpret the mammogram, enter or upload the report into the bronx VA Medical Center's hospital information system (DHCP/Vista) and then electronically verify it, all in a timely manner (in accordance with national standards).
