Description

The purpose of this modification is to extend the due date for responses and to answer questions from interested vendors. The purpose of the solicitation is to establish a contract relationship with a private entity to provide realtime verbatim closed captioning services from gavel to gavel for each daily session of the U.S. House of Representatives. The Request for Proposal (RFP) calls for closed captioning services at an accuracy rate of 98.6% at an average of 225-250 words per minute and requires the services of trained and experienced specialty contractor with adequate resources to carry out the contractual requirements in a professional and timely manner. Offerors who do not submit complete proposals shall not be considered. No telephone requests for an RFP package will be accepted, but requests can be faxed to (202) 226-2214, attn: George John Bath-RFP No. RCLK2000079. Sealed bids will be received in the Chief Administrative Office, Office of Procurement, U.S. House of Representatives, 359 Ford House Office Building 2:00 p.m., October 13, 2000.
