Description

(i) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-11. (ii) Notice: This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The North American Industrial Classification System code is 488991_Packing and Crating. The size standard is $18.5 Million. (iii) Description: Invitation for Bids: Furnish all personnel, equipment, facilities, supplies, services, and materials necessary for the preparation of personal property of military members and civilian employees for local movement or drayage and related services. A description of requirements for the packing and crating services will be provided in the Performance Work Statement of the solicitation. This contract will be performed at Minot AFB, ND starting on 1 Jan, 2001 until 31 Dec 2001. All applicable clauses and provisions will be incorporated in the solicitation package to include Offeror Representations and Certifications, Section K, which must be completed and included with bid. This solicitation will be posted to the EPS System, www.eps.gov. A written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation to include contract line items, Performance Work Statement, provisions, and clauses will be electronically posted on or about 20 Oct 2000. Bids will be required on or about 21 Nov 00. It will be the bidder_s responsibility to periodically check for any solicitation amendments and ensure all amendments are acknowledged with bid submittal. Faxed bids are not authorized and will not be accepted. (iv) There is no additional description for the preceding line item. (v) Required performance period shall be between 01 Jan 01 and 31 Dec 01. Place of performance shall be determined by individual orders. (vi) Evaluation shall be based on price and price related factors per the provision at FAR 52.214-22, Evaluation of Bids for Multiple Awards (Mar 1990). Technical capability shall be a matter of responsibility and proven by submitting certified copies appropriate storing and shipping licenses as required by Federal and/or State mandates with the bids. All submitted documentation is subject to verification. (vii) The Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) rating is: unrated. (viii) See note one. (ix) Mail complete bid package to 5 CONS/LGCS, ATTN: MSgt Donald Miller, 211 Missile Ave., Minot AFB, ND 58705-5027. Bids will be required on or about 21 Nov 00. Date and time bids will not be accepted after shall be posted with the solicitation.
