Description

United States Postal Service will solicit proposals for the manufacture of Fiberboard MM Trays and EMM Sleeves used in the transport of letter mail. USPS drawings and specifications will be included with solicitation package. In general the material is corrugated fiberboard sheet in accordance with ASTM D4727 Type CF, Class Domestic, Variety SW, Grade 275, C Flute. Approximate flat dimension of MM Tray is 42.18 x 19.56 inches. Approximate flat dimension of EMM Sleeve is 20.46 x 24.06 inches. Trays require die cut, print, and score processes and will be shipped with purchased plastic label holders -- suggested sources identified on drawing. Sleeves require die cut, print, score, fold, and glue processes. Initial requirement will be for FY01 delivery of approximately 2,758,800 MM Trays and 2,000,000 EMM Sleeves -- final quantities based on full truckload shipments and unit price. Both products will have terms for option quantities for FY01-05 to be ordered as annual quantities as needed. All requests must be received by October 20, 2000 to insure receipt of the solicitation package. Solicitation is expected to be issued on/about October 30, 2000. Offers including cost proposal, capacity/capability detail and past performance information will be due within 21 days after issuance of solicitation.
