Background "17. F-15 WEAPON SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT PRODUCTION SUPPORT (DPS). POC Norman Willis, Contract Negotiator/Nancy Williamson, Contracting Officer, (937)255-7927 x2506, ASC/FBAKW The F-15 Contracting Division, Headquarters Aeronautical Systems Center (ASC/FBAKW), Wright Patterson Air Force Base(WPAFB), Ohio. This CBD announcement constitutes a Notice of Contract Action for the purpose of notifying the public of the intent to award a contract to McDonnell Douglas Corporation, A Wholly Owned Subsidiary of The Boeing Company, St Louis, in the 1st quarter of FY01, pursuant to the authority of FAR 6.302-1 (10U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1)- Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements for the follow on of the FY01 F-15 Development Production Support contract. The requirements of this contract are to accomplish all tasks associated with the Development Production Support of F-15 aircraft, trainers, support equipment and associated equipment. The period of performance is anticipated to be from 01 Jan 2001 to 31 Dec 2001. The requirements are to provide the engineering, management staff and support necessary to perform the tasks associated with the development production support initiatives for the F-15 weapon system. It is intended that all applicable System Program Office (SPO) authorized proposal activities such as Requests For Proposals (RFPs), Advance Change Study Notices (ACSNs), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), and Contract Change Proposals (CCPs) be prepared under this DPS contract. This effort further involves preparation of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Engineering Special Studies and Investigations including subcontractor support and associated travel which address F-15 weapon system performance and supportability improvement issues as a part of development production support as well as providing for support and essential services during wartime and operational contingencies. It is also anticipated that the following task be included: Operation and Maintenance of Team Eagle Secure Network (TESN). An Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Contract Type is contemplated.
