Description

Eglin AFB, FL has a requirement for Medical Waste Disposal. Performance requires the contractor to provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary for the storage, pickup, transportation, and disposal of packaged medical waste generated from the Eglin AFB Hospital, Eglin AFB, Florida. This acquisition will be full and open competition; however, the appropriate NAICS code and size standard for size certification is 562219/$10M. This is a "Trade-Off" (Performance Price Trade-Off) Acquisition. Award will be made based upon the "Best Value" to the Government in accordance with FAR 12.301. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the lowest proposed price. Request for Proposals, F08651-00-R-0092, is being prepared for distribution on or about 27 Oct 00. The basic performance period will be from 1 Feb 01 through 31 Jan 02, plus four one-year option periods. The deadline for receipt of proposals is on or about 27 Nov 00. Proposal closing of 27 Nov 00 IS ONLY AN ESTIMATED DATE. Estimated dollar range is between $100K and $250 K. The above general description of work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the contractor to perform all work and furnish all plant, labor, equipment, and materials complete in accordance with the specifications. NOTE: Funds are not presently available for this project. No award will be made until funds are available to make payments under a contract. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after RFP closing, with no obligation to the offeror by the Government. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. This is a paperless acquisition. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued.
