- Description
- The United States Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM)is seeking responses to two Market Surveys. They are for the Fuel System Supply Point (FSSP), and for the Fuel Unit and Pipeline Connection Assembly for the Inland Petroleum Distribution System (IPDS). The questionnaires/comments and purchase descriptions are located at this internet address: http://contracting.tacom.army.mil/ssn/sources.htm Each questionnaire includes a technical description of the systems, as well as other information, for you to use in formulating responses. However, in addition to each individual questionnaire, TACOM would like you to consider the potential of combining the procurement of these two systems in a single contract. Our intent would be to maximize any benefits of combining these similar requirements with each other. In addition to any responses you provide, we would like your comments on your firm's capability of performing the production of these systems concurrently with each other, under one contract. Contingent upon results of this market survey and other analyses, we plan to pursue a contractor for the FSSP, and the Fuel Units and PLCAs of the IPDS on a competitive basis. The effort would be awarded on a firm fixed price basis. Contract award would be targeted for 4th quarter Fiscl Year 2001 (i.e., Jul-Sep 2001). The estimated quantity, if funding is available, for the FSSP is 450 units and for the Fuel Unit & Pipeline Connection Assembly are 42 Fuel Units and 12 PLCAs.
