Description
Maintenance and Logistic Command, Pacific proposes to contract the drydock and repairs of USCGC LONG ISLAND (WPB 1324), a 110_, patrol boat, homeported in San Diego, California. All work shall be performed at the contractor_s facilities, during the period of 04 April 2001 and complete 29 May 2001. Work items to include: production control, Gantt bar chart, chain locker clean and inspect, hull plating underwater body inspection, hull plating underwater body ultrasonic testing, voids and appendages (/W) preserve, internal (MP fuel service) clean and inspect, tanks (MP fuel stowage and overflow) clean and inspect, tanks (potable water) clean and inspect, propeller cleaning and inspection, propulsion shaft rope guards, propulsion shaft bearing clearances check, propulsion shaft seals renew, electric meters (critical) calibration, fathometer transducer renewal, pressure gauges and thermometers (critical) calibration, pyrometers and thermocouples (critical) calibration, tachometers (critical) calibration, vent piping modifications , engine room mechanical vent closure, sea strainer (all sizes) overhaul, se valves (<=2.5 inches) renewal, sea valves (>=2.5 inches) overhaul, steering gear (general) overhaul, rudder stock bearings check clearances, rudder stock, liners and housings inspect/repair, rudder inspect & repair, fin stabilizer actuator overhaul, fin stabilizer hydraulic oil cooler clean and flush, fin stabilizer hydraulic pump/motor overhaul, fin stabilizer stock/blade maintenance, hawse pipe renewal, warping capstan (general) level 2 inspect/repair, rigid hull inflatable boat davit level 2 inspection and test, sewage and grey water piping cleaning and inspection, sewage vacuum isolation valve installations and piping modification, superstructure preservation, hull plating, underwater body preserve, partial, rudder preservation (100%), freeboard preservation, cathodic protection/capac system inspect/service, temporary services, dry docking, mast preservation. Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued on or about 11/22/2000. The solicitation is issued in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All responsive sources may submit an offer, which will be considered by this agency. For Women-Owned and Disadvantage Business Enterprises, the Department of Transportation (DOT) Minority, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) at the prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
