Description

This project consists of the construction of 6.5 miles of trail to include excavation, clearing and grubbing. Approximately 3 miles of the trial will be constructed along an old hydrolic ditch. The project is located on the Downieville Ranger District. To reach the project from Highway 49, turn east onto Ridge Road (approximately 5 miles north of North San Juan). Travel 13.8 miles to the Forest City and Allegany junction. Turn left, towards Forest City, then make an immediate right onto Sierra County 309 Road. Travel 2.7 miles east to the job site at the starting point, approximately 800 feet past a noticeable saddle. The estimated start work date is 05/15/01, contract time 55 days. Solicitation issue date 11/07/00. There will be a prebid tour of the work area on November 17, 2000.
