Description
The U.S. Army SBCCOM/PM Soldier Support is conducting a market survey for a Mobile Integrated Remains Collection System (MIRCS). The MIRCS will consist of a shelter, transported by a Heavy Expanded Mobile Tactical Truck with Load Handling System (HEMTT-LHS). The MIRCS shelter will be an expandable, ISO compatible shelter. The shelter shall be no more than 8 feet x 8 feet x 20 feet during transport configuration to accommodate all required transport modes, including C130 aircraft. The total weight of the shelter with onboard components shall not exceed 10 tons for LHS compatibility. It will be capable of operation either dismounted or while mounted on the HEMTT-LHS. The MIRCS shelter will have an onboard power source sufficient to run all equipment and accessories. It will also be capable of operating from 120/208 volt 50/60 Hz external power sources. The shelter will have multiple electrical power outlets and integrated lighting. The MIRCS shelter will provide a temperature controlled storage area (34-36 F) for 16 to 20 remains. The shelter will have an administrative work area for information processing. The shelter will contain two mobile platforms for remains processing and preparation. Interior work areas will be environmentally controlled between 58 and 68 degrees F and will have adequate ventilation. The MIRCS shelter will also have onboard water storage (50 to 100 gallons) and hot and cold running water. The MIRCS will have holding tanks for waste water or a means for treating waste water for disposal. During movement, the remains storage area must be maintained between 32-36 degrees F. The MIRCS will be operable in temperatures from minus 50 F to 120 F.
