Description

The U.S. Coast Guard will be issuing a solicitation for INMARSAT Services for Coast Guard Island Commands and PACAREA TACLET. The contractor shall provide ship-to-ship communications via standard telephone sets, facsimile and data communications via the INMARSAT Satellite system. Calls will terminate on existing INMARSAT Standard-A, Standard-B and Mini-M terminals installed on U.S. Coast Guard Vessels. Performance shall be in accordance with the standards contained in the Statement of Work and applicable purchase order clauses contained in the solicitation. This solicitation is a set-aside 100% for small business. The SIC Code is 3663/NAICS Code is 334220. The small business size standard is 750 employees. The contract type will be Firm Fixed Price. The period of performance will be 18 Jan 01 through 18 Dec 02. The solicitation will be issued on or about 06 Nov 2000 and shall close on or about 27 Nov 2000. The following notice is for informational purposes: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs). The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
