- Description
- This is a Sources Sought synopsis. This is a search for potential sources that can operate a vehicle operations and maintenance contract for eight (8) to nine (9) months. A follow-on contract may not be available as this requirement is included in the A-76 study to be contracted out. A solicitation is not presently available; however, the following description is provided to assist offerors in determining their interest in providing the services. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other services necessary to perform vehicle operations, maintenance, and analysis services. Work is to be performed at Maxwell AFB and Gunter Annex Alabama. The period of performance is from 1 April through 31 December 2001. This requirement is set aside for a small business concern. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 4173. To qualify as a small business concern, gross revenues cannot exceed an average of $5 million for the last three fiscal years. In the event sufficient numbers of small business concerns do not respond to this synopsis, this requirement may be awarded on an unrestricted basis. Therefore, all interested parties should respond to this notice. The fleet of vehicles to be maintained is composed of the following categories of vehicles: General Purpose Vehicles (Sedans, pickup trucks, buses, ambulances, carryalls, 12 ton trucks, truck tractors, trailers), 255 assigned; 484.3 vehicle equivalents; Special Purpose Vehicles (Maintenance trucks, dump trucks, firetrucks, refueling trucks), 93 assigned; 273 vehicle equivalents; Construction and Base Maintenance (Industrial Tractors, truck sweepers, cranes, graders, rollers, water trucks), 24 assigned; 90.4 vehicle equivalents; Material Handling Equipment (Tugs, forklifts, aircraft loaders), 23 assigned; 60.2 vehicle equivalents; Non-registered Vehicles (Motor mowers, tow mowers, small tractors, manlifts), 52 assigned, 59 vehicle equivalents. There is a fleet of 30 vehicles consisting of sedans and minivans that require cleaning and servicing only.
