Description

Solicitation number PR-CI-00-11368, as previously posted in CBDNet on September 26, 2000 [Printed Issue Dated September 28, 2000], and previously amended in CBDNet on October 11, 2000 [Printed Issue Dated October 16, 2000] for procurement of a scotch marine type firetube package boiler, is further amended to add the following : SITE VISIT (FAR 52.237-1) (APR 1984) Offerors or quoters are urged and expected to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance, to the extent that the information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award. EPA SITE VISIT (a) A site visit shall be conducted beginning at 2:00PM EDT on 10/26/00 at the following location: U.S. EPA, Air Pollution Prevention and Control Division -- Environmental Research Center, 86 Alexander Drive, Research Triangle Park, NC 27709 (b) The site visit shall include an inspection of the current boiler as connected to the current air pollution control system. Individuals that plan to attend the site visit should provide written notification to the Contracting Officer at least 3 calendar days prior to the conference date. The notification should be sent by e-mail to: reinhart.andre@epa.gov Upon arrival, parties should report to the guard's desk at the main entrance to the building, and ask that Jack Wasser be called at extension 2476
