Description

This is a solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the current Federal Acquisition Circular 97-19. The Marine Corps Northeast Regional Contracting Office currently has a requirement for Salt Index 165 Sodium Chloride for Ice Removal -- Delivery as follows: Jan 15, 2001 200 tons OCS Salt Dome and 200 tons GUAD salt dome; Feb 15, 2001 200 tons OCS Salt Dome and 200 tons GUAD Salt Dome; March 05, 2001 200 tons OCS Salt dome and 200 tons GUAD Salt Dome. The quantities may vary between the two sites. More or less salt may have to be applied to a particular side of the base in a storm. Each salt dome is equal in distance from Interstate 95, approximately 5 miles from the I-95 exit to the South Gate. The delivery schedule is shown above. ALL CONTRACTORS MUST BE REGISTERED IN THE CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION (CCR), the address is www.ccr.dlsc.dla.mil Quotes shall be returned to the office listed above by way of FAX no later than close of business Thursday, 02 November 2000.
