Description
This is a firm fixed price contract with a SIC code of 1542. Competition for this acquisition is unrestricted, open to both large and small business concerns, and may require a subcontracting plan. If a subcontracting plan is required, the following minimum goals are applicable: Small Business Contracting 61.4 %; Small Disadvantaged Business Concerns 9.1%; and Women-Owned Small Business Subcontracting 5%. The magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Bonding will be required for this acquisition. This project is located at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Pima County, Arizona and consist of the construction of a 51,667 SF Physical Fitness Center. The main construction will include a large indoor basketball court with bleacher seating, aerobics room, circuit training room, free weight room, cardiovascular equipment room, indoor running track, indoor pool, restrooms, showers and lockers, administrative and support spaces as well as exterior utilities, landscaping and paved parking area. This solicitation will be advertised by Electronic Bid Set (EBS). The approximate construction period is 420 calendar days. The plans and specifications will be available on compact disk (CD-ROM) only, and will be provided free of charge.
