Description

The U.S. Army, TACOM-RI, Rock Island, IL is seeking sources for a Holding Fixture for a 13-inch Lathe. The requirements of the Holding Fixture are as follows: 1. The Holding Fixture retains and supports work pieces in a 13-inch lathe while milling, drilling, slotting, tapping, and boring operations are performed by the lathe. 2. The fixture provides an indexing capability and a vertical feed capability for layout work, when used in conjunction with the lathe cross slide. 3. The vertical adjustment of the fixture shall not be less than 3-1/2 inches. 4. The fixture plate or working surface shall be not less than 5 inches by 5 inches. 5. The fixture shall hold round stock of no less than two inches in diameter and square stock of no less than two inches. 6. Key seat cutting, keyway cutting, and vertical slotting shall be accomplished while a work piece is held in the fixture. 7. If you have/sell Holding Fixture for a 13-inch Lathe that meet the requirements stated above, please provide your commercial literature on the product along with prices and any minimum order quantity. Also provide information on discount terms, price breaks, warranties, delivery terms and any testing performed. 8. Please identify any requirements stated above that you feel are unduly restrictive which would either restrict effective competition or prohibit commercial items as defined in FAR 2.101. 9. Funds are not presently available for this potential acquisition. It should be noted that this is NOT a Request for Proposal; the purpose of the sources sought notice is to seek commercial sources that will meet the U.S. Government's requirement.
