Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to contract with Rolls Royce for Component Improvement Program services in support of the F405 engine for AV-8 Harrier Aircraft. The resultant contract will be an indefinite delivery/ indefinite quantity contract with cost plus fixed fee task orders. Services shall include engineering support and testing to improve safety and readiness and increase mission effectiveness for the AV-8B propulsion and power systems. The period of performance shall be 1 Jan 01 through 31 Dec 01 with an one year option period. Rolls Royce is the sole developer and manufacturer of the F405 engine and is the only known source with the unique experience and technical data required to perform this effort. See Note 22.******
