Description

The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) plans to issue a sole source modification to Sanders, A Lockheed Martin Company, Advanced Systems & Technology, P.O. Box 868, Nashua, NH 03061-0868, under Contract N00024-97-C-6373 for engineering services to support evaluation and repair of Acoustic Communications (ACOMMS) items developed under the above-mentioned contract . The services and supplies to be provided include the labor, material, and support necessary to furnish the following tasks in support of the ACOMMS System: Systems Engineering, Algorithm Development, System Implementation, System Documentation, and Engineering Services. Contract N00024-97-C-6373 was awarded to Sanders, A Lockheed Martin Company on a competitive basis against a Broad Agency Announcement (BAA). The BAA called for innovative designs and concepts for an ACOMMS testbed to demonstrate at-sea performance necessary to provide a high performance acoustic communication capability for the submarine fleet. As the developer of the ACOMMS System, only Sanders, A Lockheed Martin Company has the requisite knowledge and resources to provide the necessary services in a timely manner.
