- Addendum to NASA Research Announcement "Research Opportunities in Space Science" (NRA 00-OSS-01): The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is releasing an addendum to NRA 00-OSS-01 for community consideration for those interested in participation in the Mars Global Surveyor Data Analysis Program (MGSDAP). The intent of this program is to enhance the scientific return from the Mars Global Surveyor (MGS) Mission by broadening the scientific participation in the analysis of the MGS data. The MGSDAP supports scientific investigations using data obtained during and after the aerobraking phase of MGS. This addendum is found by opening the amendment section of NRA 00-OSS-01. Release date of this addendum is October 19, 2000. The notice of intent is due November 20, 2000, with proposals due January 25, 2001. Participation in the program is open to all categories of organizations, foreign and domestic, including industry, educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, NASA centers, and other Government agencies. Original Notice: This NASA Research Announcement (NRA) is a broad agency announcement as specified in FAR 6.102 (d) (2). NRA-00-OSS-01, entitled "Research Opportunities in Space Science -- 2000," will be available on or about February 9, 2000, by opening "Research Opportunities" from the menu on the NASA Office of Space Science (OSS) homepage at http://spacescience.nasa.gov on the World Wide Web. This NRA solicits proposals for supporting research, analysis, and technology across a broad range of different space science program elements relevant to the four defined OSS science themes, entitled Astronomical Search for Origins, Solar System Exploration, Structure and Evolution of the Universe, and The Sun-Earth Connection. Proposal due dates are staggered from April 28, through September 15, 2000. An electronically submitted Notice of Intent to propose beginning March 10, 2000, is requested for all program elements, and electronic submission of the Cover page is required. Participation through this NRA is open to all categories of U.S. and non-U.S. organizations, including educational institutions, industry, nonprofit institutions, NASA Centers, and other Government agencies. Further information about specific program elements may be obtained from the individual OSS Discipline Scientists listed in this NRA, while questions concerning general NRA policy issues may be directed to Dr. J.
