Description

Inspect, test and evaluate the medical gas and vacuum systems at the Milwaukee WI VA Medical Center within 30 days after award of contract, plus four, one-year options to renew. The contractor's on-site supervisor must posess a Medical Gas Certification as per NFPA-99 and have been trained under the American Society of Sanitary Engineers Section 6000 (ASSE). Service technicians/mechanics must possess at least 3 years of experiennce on the specific type of system each will test and inspect. There are a total of 8 systems included in this contract for: medical oxygen, medical air, dental air, nitrous oxide, medical/surgical vacuum, dental vacuum and nitrogen. There will be a site inspection for interested firms from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Thursday, October 26, 2000, at the VA Medical Center, 5000 West Wisconsin Ave, Milwaukee WI. The initial meeting place for the site inspection will be in the lobby of Building 111 which is the main hospital building. Requests for hard copy solicitations must be in writing to the Contracting Officer and accompanied by a non-refundable check for $10.00 made out to the US Department of Veterans Affairs.
