Description

The work includes the careful removal and reinstallation of existing roof top equipment, provisions for reroofing with rigid and tapered roof insulation, two-ply modified bituminious membrane roofing, flashing and incidental related work. The approximate solicitation release date is November 14, 2000. This solicitation will be available in electronic format only. In accordance with FAR 5.102(a)(7), the solicitation will be available for download free of charge via the Internet World Wide Web at HTTP://ESOL.NAVFAC.NAVY.MIL. Hard copies or CD-ROM's of the solicitation will not be provided by the Government. All documents will be in the Adobe Acrobat PDF file format via the Internet. The free Acrobat Reader, required to view PDF files, can be downloaded from the Adobe website. Inquiries about plans and specs shall be directed to: Stuart Williams, (757) 887-4194. Contractors are encouraged to register for the solicitation when downloading from the NAVFAC E-Solicitation website. Only registered contractors will be notified by e-mail when amendments to the solicitation are issued. The official planholders list will be maintained and can be printed from the web site. All prospective bidders and plan centers are encouraged to register as plan holders on the web site. Plan holders lists will not be faxed and will only be available from the web site. The estimated cost range is between: $25,000 and $100,000. The North American Industry Classification System code is 235610 and the size standard is $11.5 million dollars. This is a firm fixed price contract for a period of 120 days. This procurement is UNRESTRICTED. In accordance with the provisions of DFARS 252.204-7004, REQUIRED CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION, offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Lack of registration in the CCR database on part of the offeror will make an offeror ineligible for award.
