Description

The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Contract on a Sole Source basis to Wind River Systems, 165 E.A.B. Plaza, Uniondale, NY 11556 for VX Works OEM Software Support, VXMP Software Support and Tornado C++ Professional Software for Solaris and Maintenance. The Government plans to issue a request for written quote to Wind River Systems using FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13. The anticipated award date is 13 Nov 00. This action is being processed on a Sole Source basis due to the fact that Wind River Systems is the original designer and manufacturer of the current software being used at our facility. All software and upgrades must remain compatible with the current real-time operating system that interfaces with the existing Power PC G4 Raceway hardware. Delivery will be F.O.B.
