Description

The contract resulting from this solicitation will be a= n Indefinite Quantity Contract for Environmental Construction L= ead Abatement Services at various Postal Owned and Leased facilit= ies located in the Capital, Baltimore and Northern Virginia Distr= ict areas. The contract is to provide lead-based paint abatement = services to painted surfaces that are impacted by renovation work or r= elated construction activities. Contractors must be located and lice= nsed in the states of Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia= , in business for at least 5 years, and be in good standing with R= egulatory Agencies. The base contract is for one year with four one-yea= r renewal options. The initial contract value is $250,000 where the to= tal quantity of work ordered during this contract will not be les= s than $10,000. The Postal Service reserves the option to increase = the potential value of the contract in increments of $250,000 (as= deemed necessary by the Contracting Officer) not to exceed $5,000,00= 0. The contractor will not be required to perform a job where the va= lue of the work required in any one building is less than $500 per w= ork order. Specific Work Order/s will be issued by the Contracti= ng Officer in accordance with the "Unit Price Schedule" and Specifications. Offeror's will be required to submit One (1)= "Multiplier" to be applied to the various Unit Prices establi= shed in the Unit Price Schedule; The Multiplier must contain the Offe= ror's overhead, profit, bonds, insurance and all other contingencie= s. No allowance for such items will be made after contract award. = Offers are due by 3:00 PM on December 1, 2000.
