Description

The Drug Enforcement Administration is soliciting for the development of a live-scan ultrasound fingerprint system. A rapid, reproducible, and improved method of digitally recording ridge detail from the palmar side of the hand, utilizing ultrasound. The anticipated result is Alive-scan@ ultrasound direct digital output that will record all the friction ridge detail present on the palmar surfaces of the hands and the fingers. This includes the extreme sides of the palms and the extreme tips, sides, and lower joints of the fingers. -- The Government is anticipating a research and development type contract. -- WRITTEN REQUESTS ONLY -- Facsimile requests will be accepted, if supported by a hard copy, on (202)307-7818 to the above mentioned point of contact. The Drug Enforcement Administration is holding a PRE-SOLICITATION CONFERENCE regarding the subject requirement (formerly advertised as DEA-00-R-0016).
