Description

This solicitation for commercial items is prepared in accordance with FAR Part 13 and the format in FAR Subpart 12.303, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the official notification for which quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will be issued. The solicitation document Request for Quotes (RFQ) 187-004-1 and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Regulation Circular 97-20. This procurement is being advertised as a fully competed procurement, under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 624190. The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution (FCI), Phoenix, AZ intends to award a drug abuse counseling contract to the contractor who submits the best value offer (a) within the City of Phoenix, County of Maricopa. The service required is non-residential drug/alcohol abuse counseling for primarily female inmates including but not limited to (1) group non-residential treatment, (2) drug education program, and (3) individual transitional therapy sessions. Services will be required from date of award through twelve (12) months after date of award with four option periods, with an estimated 376 one-hour sessions required per year. Anticipated due date for offers is 4 December 2000.
