Description

This Request for Quote is for a Firm Fixed Price Non-Personal Services Requirements Contract. The Federal Prison Camp in Alderson, West Virginia is seeking a qualified individual or organization to provide the services of a Cosmetology Instructor. Scheduling will normally consist of four sessions per week, with each session being seven and a half hours in duration. The instructor will train cosmetology students in skills to include procedures, criteria and curricula required for the examination and license of a cosmetologist in the State of West Virginia. These skills will include the minimum curriculum required for a license from the State of West Virginia. The contractor must retain a State of West Virginia License to practice cosmetology, and be a licensed Master Teacher of Cosmetology. However, if the contract is licensed in another state, he or she may apply for a West Virginia State License if the applicant has acquired training in another state equal to the requirements established in the ``Reciprocity Agreement State of West Virginia Board of Cosmetologists -- 7.11'', provided that the state in which said applicant is licensed extends the same privileges to licensed instructors from this state. Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required. This procurement is a total small business set aside. The contract period will be from date of award through September 30, 2001, with the Government's unilateral right to exercise one, 12 month Option Year period. The estimated availability of this solicitation is November 13, 2000.
