- Description
- NASA/JSC plans to award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contracts to three or more architect-engineering firms that will be selected to perform various architectural, electrical, mechanical, fire protection, and civil engineering tasks under extended service-type contracts. Environmental engineering capability and experience are also desirable. The services required will include feasibility studies, conceptual designs, preliminary engineering reports, budget estimates and designs for alterations, new construction, and repair projects. Of particular focus are thoroughly prepared and accurate detailed estimates and extensive expertise in control systems. The projects are anticipated to be located within the confines of the Johnson Space Center main site, Ellington Field, and the Sonny Carter Training Facility locations, Houston, Texas. Some tasks will require investigation and engineering related to areas containing asbestos or other hazardous materials. The duration of the contract will be for five years. The contract will stipulate that any one task order shall not exceed $150,000 and that the cumulative amount of all task orders for the contract period shall not exceed $2,400,000. Each selected engineering firm is guaranteed a minimum fee of $7,500. Standard Forms 254 and 255 are due December 6, 2000. See Notes 1 and 24. Provisions of 'Note 24' apply to this notice except that (a) in the sentence beginning Selection of Firms for negotiations, the fourth additional consideration listed is changed to read: (4) past experience, if any, of the firm with respect to performance on contracts with NASA, other Government agencies, and private industry, and (6) in the last sentence, National Aeronautics and Space Administration is substituted for Department of Defense. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 54131. The corresponding size standard is $6 million for three years All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the Agency.
