Description

The RFP for the cost comparison study for the most efficient and cost effective method of providing distribution services in the management and operation of the Defense Distribution Depot Richmond Virginia, (DDRV) located in Richmond Virginia is scheduled to be available and issued on November 15, 2000 over the Internet at the following address http://www.supply.dla.mil/a76. The resultant contract awarded, if any, will be awarded on an all or none basis as a fixed price contract. The contract performance period will be a three year base period with the potential of an additional two year option period. This requirement will be issued on an unrestricted basis. SIC and Size Standard is 4225 -- $18.5M. This solicitation will not result in a contract if Government performance is determined to be more advantageous in accordance with OMB Circular A-76 procedures. Hard copies of the RFP will not be available. Past Performance information will be required no later than January 15, 2001. The RFP closing date is February 2, 2001. The Preproposal Conference and Site Visit will be held on Sunday, December 3 and Monday, December 4, 2000 starting at 8:00 a.m. at DDRV, Richmond Virginia. DSS will be addressed during the pre-proposal conference. Directions to DDRV, location of the conference, and other pertinent information pertaining to the conference will be available on the web site.
