Description
The Regional Service Center Budapest, on behalf of the United States AGENCY FOR INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT (USAID) Mission in Bosnia Herzegovina (BiH) intends to issue a Request for Applications (RFA)for technical assistance to strengthen , enhance the sustainability of, and expand a core group of highly trained and professionally managed indigenous NGOs in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). This core group of NGOs will have the capacity to provide valuable services to their constituents, either in partnership with Government or independently; represent member and constituent interests; and provide technical expertise to policy makers in order to insure that they and the citizens they represent can participate effectively in economic and political life. DemNet II will continue USAID's core program of highly integrated and individually tailored training, long term technical assistance, and small grants by providing program support to additional NGOs not currently operating within DemNet. The Cooperative Agreement is expected to run for three years and to cost 4 millions. This award will be based on full and open competition. Funds are currently not available. All questions related to this notice and request for a copy of the RFA must be addressed in writing by letter, fax or e-mail to the POC at the address stated above. Specify the RFA number and title being requested, and include your complete organization name, street address, telephone and fax numbers, and e-mail address. No telephone requests will be honored. The RFA when issued will provide the final information on the closing date. USAID intends to release the RFA on or about November 15, 2000.
