Description

The project consists of the installation of a Stormwater Emergency Watershed Protection (EWP) Project at Saw Mill Brook in the Town of Sherman, Connecticut. The estimated price range is between $ 100,000. and $ 250,000. Work will begin approximately January 2, 2000. The job is to be completed within 90 calendar days of the notice to proceed. Major items of work consist of but are not limited to: Clearing and Grubbing, Stabilized Construction Entrance, Silt Fence, Seeding and Mulching, Mobilization and Demobilization, Removal of Water, Unclassified Excavation, Earthfill Class C, Topsoiling, 24" Loose Rock Riprap, Woven Wire Mesh Gabions. All Responsible sources may submit a Bid that will be considered by the agency. A presolicitation notice will be issued. Request for solicitation packages will be available on November 17, 2000, at the USDA, Natural Resources Conservation Service, 344 Merrow Road Road, Tolland, CT 06084-3917. The cost for the Solicitation Package is $ 25.00 (Non Refundable) A site showing will be held on December 4, 2000.
